Richard E. Smith
Co-owner of CCS, Richard is the chief technical translator for the firm. Previously, he was Senior Technical Translator for General Electric Company in New York City for 12 years. He was awarded two Fulbright Lecturing Grants, one in Pamplona, Spain, and the other in Baghdad, Iraq. In the US Army (1953-1956), he served in Military Intelligence as technical translator, interrogator and in other specialties. Richard holds an MA in Linguistics from the University of Texas and speaks Spanish, German and French with near-native fluency. He also translates from Russian, Portuguese, Catalan, Dutch and Italian.
Ann Marie Smith
Ann's background is in business administration and publishing. In addition to running the business end of the company, she translates and edits documents from Spanish, Portuguese and French into English. She is a graduate of the University of Navarre, Pamplona, Spain, and attended NYU Graduate School of Business. Before joining the company full time, she worked for the United Nations, publishing companies and accounting firms.
